갤러리전은 매년 '신진작가 PROJECT ' 를 통해 재능 있는 신진작가를 발굴하고, 지속적인 전시 지원을 통해 작가의 성장과 작품세계를 함께 만들어가고 있다. 2026년 선정작가인 이브(EVE)의 초대전을 선보인다.

'우리는 무엇으로 이루어지는가'
 

​이브(EVE)의 초대전 는 인간을 형성하는 것이 거대한 사건이 아닌, 삶 속에서 축적된 작은 기억과 관계의 흔적에서 출발하며, 이번 전시는 작가가 지속적으로 구축해 온 조형 세계 '동산바치'를 본격적으로 소개하는 자리이다.
 

​작가는 어린 시절 아무런 조건 없이 건네받은 작은 아오리사과의 기억을 출발점 삼아, 보이지 않는 마음의 교류와 성장의 시간을 조각으로 형상화한다. PETG와 스테인리스 스틸, 아크릴 채색으로 제작된 작품은 부드러운 곡선과 절제된 색채, 동화적 감성을 통해 친숙한 인상을 전하면서도 관계와 기억, 시간의 축적이라는 보편적 주제를 담아낸다.
 

​어린아이를 닮은 인물과 꽃, 새싹, 구름 등의 자연적 모티프는 서로를 돌보고 연결하는 존재의 은유로 기능하며, 관람자는 작품 속 자신의 기억과 감정을 자연스럽게 마주하게 된다. < I am what I eat >는 삶을 이루는 작고 따뜻한 순간들이 또 다른 누군가의 삶으로 이어지는 과정을 조용하지만 깊이 있게 보여줄 것이다.
 

​EVE's solo exhibition, I am what I eat, begins with the idea that what shapes us is not defined by extraordinary events, but by the accumulation of small memories and the traces of human relationships woven into everyday life. This exhibition presents the artist's long-developed sculptural universe, Dongsanbaji, offering an in-depth look at the themes that have consistently informed her practice.

Drawing from a childhood memory of receiving a small green apple as an unconditional act of kindness, EVE transforms invisible emotional exchanges and the passage of personal growth into sculptural forms. Created with PETG, stainless steel, and hand-painted acrylic, her works are characterized by soft contours, restrained colors, and a storybook-like sensibility. While approachable in appearance, they explore universal themes of memory, relationships, and the accumulation of time.

The childlike figures, accompanied by natural motifs such as flowers, sprouts, and clouds, serve as metaphors for care, connection, and shared growth. Through these poetic sculptures, viewers are invited to reconnect with their own memories and emotions. Ultimately, I am what I eat quietly reflects on how the small yet meaningful moments that shape our lives continue to resonate, becoming seeds that grow within the lives of others as well.
