갤러리 전은 프랑스에서 활동하는 재불 작가 정현 초대전 전을 진행한다. 정현 작가는 프랑스 소르본 대학에서 조형예술학 박사를 취득했다. 한국적 정서를 담은 판화작업으로 시작하여 프랑스 국립도서관, 툴롱(Toulon) 아시아 예술 박물관, 세르누스키(Cernuschi) 박물관 등에 작품이 소장되어 있다. 작가는 일반적 판화 제작방식의 장점을 포기하고 오직 1점의 판화 작품만 제작한다. 이런 독특한 1:1 제작 방식은 판화기능의 새로운 해석이자, 유일 작품인 회화의 장점을 동시에 살리는 기법이다. 주로 꽃과 꽃잎, 나무 등 자연 대상물을 표현하며 원본이 가지는 매력을 살린 독특한 작업과 함께 한글을 깨알처럼 써 내려간 작품을 선보인다. 이번 전시는 한국에서 처음으로 원화 12점을 포함하여 판화 20여 점이 전시된다.

Gallery Jeon is hosting , an invitational exhibition by Hyun Jeong, a French-based artist living in France. The artist earned a doctorate in plastic arts from the Sorbonne University in France. Starting with prints containing Korean sentiments, his works are housed in the National Library of France, the Toulon Museum of Asian Art, and the Cernuschi Museum.

The artist gives up the advantages of the general printmaking method and produces only one print work. This unique 1:1 production method is a new interpretation of the function of printmaking and a technique that simultaneously utilizes the strengths of painting, which is a unique work of art. She mainly expresses natural objects such as flowers, petals, and trees, and presents unique works that take advantage of the charm of the original work, as well as works written in the Korean alphabet. This exhibition will feature about 20 prints, including 12 original paintings, for the first time in Korea.
